Wasilla Main Street Project

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is in the process of preparing the Environmental Assessment for the Wasilla Main Street Rehabilitation project (also known as the Main Street Couplet). The proposed couplet is intended to improve traffic flow and minimize congestion in the downtown area, especially at the Parks Highway and Main Street/Knik-Goose Bay Road intersection.

As part of the public involvement process, they conducted an Open House on April 4, 2012. They also attended the November 13, 2012 Wasilla Planning Commission meeting and provided an update on the status of the project. To view the presentation, please click on the link below:
