Applications for a special purpose committee to include a task force are accepted in the Office of the City Clerk.
Task force and committee members are usually appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council unless otherwise outlined in the ordinance or resolution which established the committee or task force. Applicant names may be published in the newspaper and the merits of the appointment may be discussed during a public forum.Confirmed members will be notified of their appointment by the City Clerk. Prior to participating in a meeting an Oath of Office must be signed. The term of the member will expire upon termination of the task force or committee, not to exceed three years.
