Administrative Hearing Officers are appointed for a three year term by the Wasilla City Council. They must be an attorney duly licensed to practice law in the State of Alaska or have training and experience in arbitration, mediation, contract law. They have jurisdiction over appeals of a planning commission decision pursuant to Title 16 and animal classification, written orders and forfeiture of animals pursuant to Title 7.
The Office of the City Clerk maintains the list of Administrative Hearing Officers and will rotate appointments to appeal cases.Interested in serving as an Administrative Hearing Officer?
