Welcome to the Office of the City Clerk

The Office of the City Clerk provides a direct link between the residents of the City of Wasilla, their elected officials, and agencies of government at all levels. The City Clerk and her staff work directly for the City Council. The City Clerk administers the Office of the City Clerk and serves as a conduit to the Administration, the public, and other agencies on behalf of the Wasilla City Council.

Additional areas of responsibility include:

• Management of the Wasilla Municipal Code;
• Records management and public information requests;
• Administration of city elections to include, the certification of initiative, referendum, and recall petitions;
• Preparation of City Council legislation, meeting agendas, and packets;
• Appointments as administrative hearing officer and to city commissions;
• Appeals to a hearing officer to include land use and animal care and regulation appeals; and
• Administers records for the Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.
