Upcoming Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) Open House and Public Hearing Regarding Proposed Transmission Line Routes

As part of the Eklutna Generation Station project, MEA is proposing to construct a new 115 kV double circuit transmission line beginning at the Hospital Substation near Trunk Road and extending west to either the Herning Substation (located at the southern end of S. Denali Street) or the Cottle Substation (located south of Fairview Loop and west of Knik-Goose Bay Road). Maps of the proposed routes can be viewed by clicking here.

The dates, times, and locations for the Open House and Public Hearing are shown below:
