Wasilla Public Library is challenging patrons to read 1,000,000 pages between January 11, 2010 and the day the first Iditarod musher crosses the finish line in Nome.
Library patrons of all ages are encouraged to be part of the challenge. To participate, simply count the pages you read from any library material -- books, audio books, magazines, or newspapers (ask a library staff member for assistance in determining page counts for audio books). Turn in your page tallies periodically throughout the challenge using the IditaPage bookmarks that are available in the library.
Watch our progress toward 1,000,000 pages on the IditaPage map at the library. Twenty-two "checkpoint prizes" will be awarded during the challenge. A victory party will be held if the million page challenge is met. For more information, call 376-5913, ext. 17.
